Our relationship with PNG is one of close neighbours, of friends and equal partners.

In 2025 we are celebrating our long-standing relationship through Australia now: PNG Edition, a program of cultural collaboration and activity.

We’re partnering with artists, chefs, dancers, singers and film producers from Papua New Guinea and Australia to showcase the depth and breadth of our cultural ties.

Our celebrations will demonstrate our strong economic development and security partnerships and bring together leaders from across our tertiary institutions and the private sector dedicated to a prosperous future for PNG.
